How do I sign-up for Rakuten?

Membership is free and it’s easy to sign up! Sign-up with an email and password online at Rakuten.com or download the Rakuten App

How do I earn In-Store Cash Back?

Once signed up, just link one or more eligible American Express, Mastercard or Visa credit cards to your Rakuten account and add available In-Store Cash Back offers to your card(s). When you shop at participating local stores and pay with your eligible linked card, you’ll automatically earn Cash Back on qualifying purchases. If you’re using a debit card for purchase, do not enter your PIN and process the payment as credit.

Can I earn In-Store Cash Back when using a mobile payment method such as Apple Pay, Android Pay, Samsung Pay?

We strongly recommend using only physical credit cards for In-Store Cash Back purchases since we do not consistently receive mobile wallet transaction details from American Express, Mastercard or Visa.

Can I use my debit card to earn In-Store Cash Back?

If you choose to use your debit card, do not enter your PIN at checkout. Instead, select “credit” instead of “debit” when your card is swiped or inserted, which means you will sign a receipt instead of entering your PIN. If you use your PIN for debit, Rakuten will not get your transaction information and you will not be eligible for Cash Back.

Can I use a credit card issued outside of the United States to earn In-Store Cash Back?

Only cards issued in the United States are eligible to earn Cash Back at participating stores in the United States.

How can I find my Cash Back?

You can visit Cash Back Balance to verify that you earned Cash Back on a purchase. We usually can’t report Cash Back immediately at the time of purchase because it takes time for the store to notify us that you placed an order. Depending on the store, this can take from a few hours or days. Once the store confirms that you’ve made a purchase, we’ll add Cash Back to your account and notify you. At that point, the amount will be viewable in Cash Back Balance.

When will I get paid?

You get paid via PayPal or check every three months To get paid, make sure you: Add your address. We use your mailing address to verify your identity. Earn at least $5.01. You need minimum confirmed earnings of $5.01 Cash Back before the next payment date to get paid.
