Charles & Keith was founded in Singapore in 1996 by brothers Charles and Keith Wong to provide fashion-forward women’s and girl’s footwear and accessories to a global market. Charles and Keith worked in their parents' shoe store before opening their own first store and starting to design footwear. In 2004, Charles & Keith became the first Singaporean company to create an e-commerce website to expand its business. By 2013, Charles & Keith had over 300 stores around the world, including a flagship store in Harajuku, Tokyo.
