The Nike Air Griffey Max 1 “San Francisco Giants” is a colorway of Ken Griffey Jr. ’s former signature shoe with Nike that shows appreciation to the San Francisco Giants baseball team. While Griffey Jr. never played for the SF Giants during his Hall of Fame baseball career, instead spending time with the Seattle Mariners, Cincinnati Reds, and Chicago White Sox, his former signature shoe nonetheless was released in this excellent black, white, and orange colorway in 2022. A large black leather Swoosh with orange trim appears on the toe of the Sail base. Black synthetic nubuck is found along the eyelets and on the mudguard. A vertical black Swoosh with orange trim is embroidered on the heel. The “24” branding on the black leather adjustable ankle strap honors the uniform number worn by Griffey during his time with the Mariners. Release date: October 1, 2022
