Breast cancer awareness is a cause close to our hearts, as both of Patrick Ewing’s sisters were diagnosed with the disease, and one of them, Pauline, sadly passed away. It is a disease that has touched everyone at our company, which is why every October, we use our platform to raise awareness in the best way we know how: through sneakers. The theme of this year's collection is “Shine a Light.” The NBCF Sport Lite features an all-black leather upper with pink and black reflective paneling that will shine when light hits them. It’s our way of shining a light on breast cancer awareness. The sneakers also showcase the NBCF ribbon on the heel and the NBCF logo on the sock liner, and they sit atop a gum outsole. Each shoe includes a dedication patch on the back of the tongue, allowing you to fill in the name of the person you are buying the shoes for or dedicating them to. This is a tradition we will continue with each new iteration of our on-going partnership.
