What do I need to rent a car?
To rent from Enterprise, you’ll need a valid driver’s license and photo ID, as well as a credit or debit card. You also need to be at least 25 years old (or 21, but with fees or exceptions for younger drivers).
Can you rent a car if you’re under age 25?
Yes. You need to be 21 or older in most of the U.S., while ages 18 to 20 are allowed in Michigan and New York, as well as for U.S. government employees. Additional fees may apply for younger drivers.
How do I pay for someone else’s rental?
Rent the vehicle in your name, present your payment card and add the other person as an additional driver.
How are tolls and traffic citations handled?
As the renter, you’re responsible for tolls and traffic violations. Enterprise receives notice of the charges and informs you, and then you reimburse the company.
Are there car subscription options?
Yes. The Subscribe with Enterprise program offers a monthly subscription that includes insurance, maintenance, roadside assistance and up to four vehicle swaps per month.
