Flex was founded in 2016 by Lauren Schulte Wang after years of struggling with infections and discomfort. When she realized that traditional menstrual products such as tampons were playing a part in her recurring illness and pain, she knew there had to be a better way — and if there wasn’t one, she would make one.
The result was Flex, a company dedicated to making sustainable, healthy feminine hygiene products that work with the body to enable women to do everything they need to without compromise. Flex is best known for its innovative menstrual disc, which works in much the same way as a menstrual cup, but that’s not all the company offers.
