What does FSA stand for?
FSA stands for “flexible spending account,” which is an employer-offered benefit that lets you set aside money to purchase health-related items such as prescriptions, over-the-counter products, glasses, sunscreen and even wheelchairs. FSA Store is the largest online marketplace that provides FSA-eligible products, and all products at FSA Store are eligible for FSA. FSA Store makes reimbursement easy, since all your receipts are stored in your FSA Store account. FSA Store also provides educational resources to help you get more out of your flexible spending.
Who can shop at FSA Store?
Anyone can shop at FSA Store, even if you don’t have flexible spending. You can use your credit card or debit card if you don’t have an FSA card. FSA Store accepts all major credit and debit cards, as well as FSA debit cards.
Is everything at FSA Store eligible for FSA?
Everything in FSA Store’s catalog of 4,000 health items is FSA-eligible. You may be surprised by some items that are FSA-eligible, such as sunscreen, glasses and wheelchairs. FSA Store has a section dedicated to these items called Surprisingly Eligible.
That doesn’t necessarily mean your purchase will be refunded, however. It is ultimately up to your employer whether to include certain items on the list of eligible products, so be sure to check with your employer before you buy. These situations are rare, but it doesn’t hurt to check.
