Can I buy e-books in bulk through VitalSource?

If you’re an educator who needs a large number of e-textbooks, you can buy them in bulk through VitalSource. Search by either the ISBN or title, and then click through to the product you’re looking for and choose the number of books you want to purchase. You’ll immediately gain access to the appropriate number of codes, which will allow your students to redeem the purchase.

Can I rent textbooks through VitalSource?

Many e-textbooks on VitalSource’s website are available for either purchase or rent, usually for 90 days, 180 days or two years. Renting is much cheaper than purchasing; a 90-day rental usually costs less than half the cost of purchasing. Not all e-textbooks are available for rent, however, and even rental books may have limited options available. Check the details on the textbook you’re looking for to see what your options are.

Are there special options available for educators through VitalSource?

The VitalSource Sampling Platform offers thousands of exam copies for verified instructors, which means you may be able to sample a title to see if it will work for your course. To receive sample copies, you’ll need to be verified by a publisher the first time you request a sample, which confirms that you’re a teacher who may require students to purchase the textbook in the future. Once you’re verified, you can sample other titles with. Sampling gives you free access to desk copies, information about the book’s pricing structure and easy access to thousands of options for your coursework.
