About Winc
In 2012, two wine lovers in California, Xander Oxman and Geoff McFarlane, decided to do something to make wine more accessible to people. They pulled in winemaker and sommelier Brian Smith, and together the three of them created Winc, a winery that also offers an online membership in a wine club.
When you sign up for Winc, you’ll first fill out a Palate Profile with six short questions to help assess your unique tastes and preferences. You’ll then get wine sent to you each month based on your profile. After you get your wines and have a chance to try them, you can then rate them. Your ratings will help fine-tune your future recommendations even more. You’ll even get credits toward future wine purchases when you review and rate your wines. Just check the Member Credits section of your account to see how much you’ve earned and have available to spend.
A flexible membership lets you skip a month at any time with no charge to you. You can also cancel your account at any time, so there’s no expensive commitment. If you get a bottle you don’t love, you won’t have to pay for it. As a member, you’ll get special savings like a percentage off any order of 12 or more bottles.
