Managing your Credit Cards for In-Store & Dining Cash Back

In-Store and Dining Cash Back work by letting you add Cash Back offers to a linked credit card. Any card information you share with Rakuten is held in a secure, encrypted environment and will never be exposed, sold or otherwise compromised.

Qualifying In-Store Cash Back cards

You can link most American Express cards, most Mastercard credit and debit cards, and most Visa credit and debit cards to your Rakuten account. In-Store Cash Back offers cannot currently be added to other cards, including store cards that do not carry American Express, Mastercard or Visa logos. If you shop with more than one card, feel free to link multiple cards to your account.

Debit cards MUST be run as credit to earn Cash Back in store

To earn In-Store Cash Back with your debit card, be sure to run it as credit and sign for your purchase.

Linking a credit card to your account for in-store and dining offers

  1. Sign in to your Rakuten account
  2. From the left menu, select Credit Cards.
  3. Select Link a New Card and enter the credit and debit cards you’d like to shop with.

After your card is added to your Rakuten account, visit the In-Store Cash Back section of Rakuten to add offers from your favorite stores. Then you’re ready to go shopping.

Removing a credit card

  1. Sign in to your Rakuten account
  2. From the left menu, select Credit Cards.
  3. Select Remove next to the card you’d like to remove
