How does Rakuten Dining work?

1. Link a credit card to your account.
2. Open the Rakuten App for Android or iOS.
3. Tap on the In-Store tab at the bottom of the screen. Tap on Dining to see restaurants near you.

Be sure to use your linked card to pay at participating restaurants. Cash Back will automatically be added to your Rakuten account within 3 to 5 days after you dine.

When will my Cash Back be confirmed?

Cash Back on Dining will be confirmed within 3 to 5 days after you dine.

Do I need to re-add the offer every time I dine?

Nope! Earn Cash Back every time you dine at participating restaurants. No need to re-add offers for the same restaurant.

I linked a card to Rakuten Dining offers, but I’m not earning Cash Back.

Some Rakuten Dining restaurants do not offer Cash Back on certain days of the week. Check the restaurant page for details:

1. Open the Rakuten App for Android or iOS.
2. Tap on the In-Store tab at the bottom of the screen.
3. Tap on Dining, then tap on any restaurant name to see the terms.

Can I earn American Express Membership Rewards® points in the Rakuten Dining program?

Yes, as long as you selected American Express Membership Rewards® points as your payment method instead of Cash Back. See American Express Membership Rewards® Points at Rakuten Terms.

How do I find participating restaurants near me?

In the Rakuten App, tap In-Store and filter by Dining. From there, you can see nearby participating restaurants.

When will Cash Back be added to my account after dining at a restaurant?

Cash Back will be added to your account within 3 to 5 days after you dine.

How often are new restaurants added?

Restaurants are added monthly, so check back regularly for updates!

Can I use the Rakuten App to order online from the restaurant?

No. You won’t be able to order food from the Rakuten App, but we do offer Cash Back at many popular food delivery services. Look in the App to see our food delivery partners.

Will I earn Cash Back on the full bill, including tip and tax?

Yes, Cash Back is based on your total bill which includes tip and tax.

Can I use the same credit card to earn Cash Back with Rakuten and rewards/Cash Back from other dining-related programs?

Rakuten Dining should be the only rewards program linked to your credit card. If there’s another dining rewards program you’d like to participate in, we recommend that you use a separate credit card. This will prevent another rewards program from overriding the Cash Back you earn with us. Please refer to your credit card’s terms and conditions as details may vary by card.
